Message in a Matchbox: Memories of a Childhood in Tehran

Message in a MatchboxFrom the author: These stories are selections from my brother Mohsen’s many memories, including his clever scheme to make money from a trench near his dad’s shop, an incubator he built to grow chickens and keep his family from starvation, and the burden of guilt from losing a brother. His mother’s constant encouragement motivated him to move forward and eventually to go to the United States for a higher education. The most important goal she had for all of her children was to obtain a higher education and live better lives.
